The Inokim OXO is a foldable electric scooter that’s perfect for on-road and off-road trips. After all, it sports a sturdy body and features that provide a complete and safe riding experience. Ultimately, it’s known for its brilliant design, amazing quality, comfortable riding experience, and maximum safety.

However, no electric scooter is perfect as it also has a few downsides. This Inokim OXO review will take a look at its performance and components and see which parts or features may be a downside. Regardless, the Inokim OXO is a near-perfect electric scooter, which is why it rose to the top as one of the most popular electric scooters in the market.

Performance

Speed

The Inokim OXO has a default speed of 25 kph, but it can be manually adjusted to increase its speed up to 64 kph. When it comes to acceleration, the OXO seems to have a slow acceleration. When you accelerate from rest, you can feel that it doesn’t immediately go too fast. There’s like a lag before it can fully accelerate.

Even when you’re already riding and even when you push the throttle quickly, it doesn’t accelerate as you would think. It takes some time for the e-scooter to accelerate. Although this is a minor detail, it all depends on the rider if this is a downside. It may take a bit of practice to get used to how the acceleration works.

Range

According to the Inokim OXO specs, it can ride for up to 110 km (68 miles) on eco mode and 100 km (62 miles) on full speed mode. Since the OXO contains a lot of power and battery capacity, a long range is expected for this kind of e-scooter. Depending on how long you ride in a day, this can be a great daily commuter e-scooter since you don’t have to worry about running out of battery during your trip.

Portability

The Inokim OXO may be foldable but it’s not exactly portable. After all, it weighs a heavy 22.5 kg. That’s difficult to carry, especially if you need to bring your e-scooter up and down the stairs or inside public transportation. If e-scooter weight is a big factor for you, then the OXO isn’t a good option since there are lighter e-scooters in the market. When it comes to its folding mechanism, it’s fairly easy to fold and the stem locks steadily when folded or unfolded.

Ride Quality

There’s no doubt that the Inokim OXO is one of the best riding e-scooters out there. Thanks to its sturdy build and big size, you will feel safe, stable, and comfortable while riding. Moreover, the rubber suspension keeps the e-scooter on the ground and makes the ride smoother and less shaky. Overall, it makes riding very enjoyable.

Components

Battery

The Inokim OXO has a whopping 1,536Wh battery capacity, which is enough to power the whole e-scooter. It can also last you a long time on the road, depending on your usage. However, one downside to the batteries is the long charging time. You need 13.5 hours for a full charge. However, since the battery lasts longer, you don’t have to charge often.

Dashboard and Controls

The OXO has a fairly simple dashboard. Unlike other e-scooters, it doesn’t have a large screen in the middle, which is a normal design for big or off-road e-scooters. However, one unique thing about the cockpit is the handlebars. Interestingly, it’s angled slightly away from the e-scooter. Moreover, the grips are a bit flat, but it’s not a good idea to rest your hands on them since they move. The other controls and features that you can find are a bell, dual-mode button, a thumb throttle, and a small display with plus, minus, and power buttons. Overall, it’s a simple but complete dashboard since it has everything that you would need.

Tyres

The Inokim OXO features a standard 10-inch pneumatic tyre. However, the tyres don’t come pre-slimed and it has a single-sided swingarm, which makes it easier to change tyres. This is really convenient when you suddenly get a flat tyre during your trip.

Brakes

The brakes of the OXO are quite strong. It also has a tested braking distance of 3 metres. Moreover, the Zoom hydraulic brakes make braking easy to control. Overall, you don’t have to worry about speeding up, since the brakes will quickly kick in.

Design

The structure, design, and colour scheme of the Inokim OXO is quite unique since you can already tell that it’s an Inokim OXO e-scooter from afar. Moreover, it has a street-style look that makes it eye-catching and cool to ride. However, one thing to keep in mind is that it doesn’t have an IP rating. This means it can be damaged due to moisture or wet conditions, making it not an ideal e-scooter to ride on puddles. Overall, the design is solid and stable, making it a comfortable ride for anyone.

Verdict

Overall, the Inokim OXO is a well-rounded electric scooter as it has a good balance of performance, power, design, and durability. Although there may be a few downsides to its controls and design, the Inokim OXO problems that you will find might not matter if you use it occasionally. Moreover, it will depend on your needs if the OXO is the right fit for you. As mentioned, it’s a nearly perfect e-scooter, so it’s bound to be great for beginner and seasoned e-scooter riders.

Hopefully, this Inokim OXO review helped you learn if this is the best e-scooter for you. Check out the Inokim OXO on Ride Hub and our other electric scooter bestsellers.
